October 2022 Calendar - Monticello Events

Fall is my favorite season! I love everything about fall: football games, fall festivals, farm days, and craft fairs. October is a busy for Monticello and I know I am not the only one that looks forward to all the festivities!

Aunt Louise’s Fall Farms Days opened at the beginning of October. Take a visit to the farm for a day of family fun in the corn maze, visiting with various farm animals, wagon rides, barrel train rides, and even a rubber duck race! For more information visit their website here.

Oh Happy Days Gifts in downtown Monticello is hosting several breast cancer events the week of October 11th. Meet at Oh Happy Days to paint rocks for breast cancer awareness on Tuesday. Meet at Oh Happy Days on Wednesday for a breast cancer walk. On Thursday, visit a pink lemonade stand around town. End the week by placing a ribbon on the tree for those who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer.

On Wednesday, October 12th from 10:30 - 1:30, join Candace (Capital City Home Loans) and I at Cow Haus Coffee Company to catch what’s brewing in Jefferson County real estate. Let’s talk about latest sales, pending listings, and projections as we end the year. Have a real estate or mortgage related question? Stop by, we would be happy to answer it for you!

The weekend of October 14th, is the opening weekend of Steel Magnolias for the Monticello Opera House. Tickets are on sale now and are $23.00 each. For more information, follow the Monticello Opera House here.

Ghoul’s Night is a huge hit every year! Local shops and boutiques are open late for shopping while sipping delicious drinks and eating special treats. This year, Ghoul’s Night will be October 27th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.

Monticello Ghost Tours are booking for their HalloWeekend tours now. These tours are fun to learn about the history of our little town and hear fun stories about the ghosts that walk the streets with us. Book your tour now here on the Monticello Chamber website.

On Saturday, October 29th bring your trick or treaters to downtown Monticello for the Candy Crawl. Dress in your favorite costume and visit downtown merchants for candy, games, and prizes! The fun is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.

After you are full of sugary sweetness from the candy crawl, then head to Cow Haus Coffee Company for a delicious Dirty Chai and open mic night. Anyone interested in karaoke? Show off your singing skills beginning at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 29th.

October is full of fun, and I am here for it! I hope to see you around town joining in on some of the festivities!
